PURPOSE OF MONUMENT: To record the names on a granite wall memorial of all veterans from Meridian
who were killed or died from wounds suffered in action during wars and conflicts since the state of Idaho was formally accepted into the Union in 1890.

I am happy to say the 501c3 papper work has returned from the IRS and we are now an offical non profit coporation and all donations are tax deductable. I am still putting forth efforts into this project even though I have been called to active duty. I am serving as an instructor at Great Lakes. I am helping to develop our young sailors, what an honor. See you all when I return.

My mother is a graduate of Nampa High School in the mid-50's. She met and married my father in Southern California. He gave his life in South Vietnam when his CH-47 crashed in a VC infested jungle known as the Iron Triangle in III Corps on June 27, 1966. I think your Rock of Honor is a tremendous project to honor the fallen from Meridian and local veterans.
